I’m Talia Fernandez. I’m a Senior Prepress & Packaging Production Artist with 14+ years of experience turning creative concepts into production ready reality. I speak the language of designers AND the language of press operators, and I’ve spent my career living in the space between the two.
My work spans packaging development, large format environmental graphics, and print production across flexographic, offset, and digital processes. I’ve managed production for major entertainment brands, luxury retail installations, and consumer product packaging for beauty, food, and beverage clients. From measuring and drafting dielines for complex packaging structures to coordinating 2,000+ square foot large format installations, I approach every project with the same precision I bring to my stained glass work, piecing elements together until every detail is exactly right.
In my prepress work I collaborate directly alongside press operators to understand how file level decisions affect real world press performance. That hands on relationship with the press floor has made me a better production artist, a sharper problem solver, and a more effective collaborator across every project I touch.
I approach every project with meticulous attention to technical detail and production feasibility, whether I’m developing structural dielines for complex packaging, preparing camera ready files for large format installations, or reviewing artwork for regulatory compliance and brand accuracy. Every file that leaves my hands is both technically correct and production ready.
Beyond client work I’m developing Behind the Bleed, a free print production education platform launching August 2026. BTB exists because I’ve seen the knowledge gap between graphic design and print production fundamentals grow exponentially over the years. I’d like to share what I’ve learned from print industry professionals and press operators to help designers develop a better foundation in print production so their work doesn’t just look great on screen, but prints exactly as intended in the real world.
